How much does a ducted system cost on the Gold Coast?
Ducted installs vary widely depending on home size, number of zones, brand, and roof access. Every job is different, which is why we provide a free site quote with a detailed system design before any work starts. No standard package pricing because no two homes are the same. How long does a ducted install take?
Most ducted installs take 1 to 3 days. A standard 4-bedroom single-storey home is typically 1 to 2 days. Larger homes, multi-storey installs, or complex zoning can push it to 3 days. We'll give you the expected timeframe in your quote.
Can you replace an existing ducted system using the existing ductwork?
Yes, but we'll need to check the condition of the existing ductwork and zones first. If everything's in good shape and sized correctly for the new unit, reusing it can shorten install time and reduce cost. We assess all this during the site quote and tell you honestly whether reuse, partial upgrade, or full replacement is the right call.
Do I need zoning?
Yes, it's a lot better with zoning. You only cool or heat the rooms you're using, which reduces running costs. With AirTouch 5 and ITC sensors, you can also set a different temperature in each room. We can fit a bypass zone over a standard spill zone, so when you're only running one or two zones the extra air goes back through the system instead of being dumped into a room you don't want to cool. We'll recommend a zoning plan that suits how you actually use your home.
Which brand should I choose?
Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric have established warranty support in Australia. Fujitsu, Panasonic, and Samsung are strong mid-range options. We'll match the brand to your priorities, noise level, energy efficiency, warranty length and purchase price.
Can ducted systems heat as well as cool?
Yes. All ducted systems we install are reverse cycle, which means they cool in summer and heat in winter. Reverse-cycle systems provide efficient electric heating, and a single ducted system handles both jobs.
What warranty do I get?
A minimum 5-year manufacturer warranty across all brands we install. Some brands and models extend to 6 or 7 years. The exact warranty length depends on the brand and model you choose.
